Deflategate: Korea

Songdo, Korea has a new shopping mall called Triple Street, and to celebrate their grand opening they are having a Pokemon Festival. Unfortunately, not all Pikachu (Pikachii?) are created equal. (DLSYTV - Double Link Silly YouTube Videos)
Context for second video: One of the Pikachus began deflating during the dance routine and was helped by a staff member. Apparently security didn't realize the first guy was a member of staff so tried to tackle him, but realized at the last second and helped escort deflated Pikachu away. After reinflating the costume, Pikachu tries to rejoin its friends but that just isn't meant to be.

That is both the saddest - he just wanted to rejoin his Pikachu friends! - and most hilarious thing - slowly deflating Pikachu and helper being tackled - I have seen today.

My children still talk about when this happened to Captain Barnacles of The Octonauts at a show in the park. It was particularly good as he was miked up and narrating the action at time. "I've ... ah... just got to go round here for a moment" he said in his slightly plummy character voice as he sagged. After disappearing backstage still miked up you could hear "Yes, yes, that's good," as rather vigorous pumping noises ensued. And then he was back, looking considerably perked up. One day the children will understand the other part that's funny.

Oh God, a deflating Pikachu should not break my heart as much as it does.
Don't worry, for Pokemon death is a sweet release from a life of slavery and endless forced battle. You should feel sorry for the living ones.

Sadly, this incident seems to have caused the Pikachu to turn to the Dark Side.
