I worry that we'll wake up one morning and find that one of them has moved two blocks west and one block north.

I've seen the pair in Chicago, and find them quite striking. Gorgeous art!

I'm trying to imagine what they sound like when the wind is blowing.

I saw the sculptures and thought of the god, Poseidon, lord of the sea and horses. These photos are great.

These are great. I've also seen the Chicago versions many times. Really well done, and great placement by the lake.

These are great.
I find his comment about basing the sculptures on the 2 local Clydesdales a bit ingenious. The kelpie heads look nothing like the big ol' boys with their boxy heads and long mobile muzzles. Even his Heavy Horse isn't the typical drafter, but that's all OK--the sculptures are beautiful.

The kelpie is a supernatural water horse from Celtic folklore that is believed to haunt the rivers and lochs of Scotland and Ireland; the name may be from Scottish Gaelic cailpeach or colpach "heifer, colt"
They're actually awesome; would love to see them in person.
