The YouTube channel Creative fest has a bunch of simple kitchen table projects, some of them little science things, some of them just fun. I was struck by their "hologram projector" projects using easy to find plastic and cell phones. No holograms were created in the making of this post. But Pepper's ghost is pretty cool, too.

Like, that final one with the plastic cap... you could assemble that with the litter from a trip to 7-11, not need to trace out any jigs or use tape just cut the plastic to wedge in, and just create something casually during a gathering to really surprise the people you're hanging out with.
