Shit. Tenser, said the Tensor. Tenser, tenser.

I thought this was pretty neat, although I have a feeling not many people will care that Steven Brust appeared in Excalibur. Or even know who Steven Brust is. Which is too bad; he's pretty funny.

Brust is a funny fellow, got drunk with him around... er... '95? '96? at Minicon, he was dressed in full swashbuckling regalia.
So in one post you managed to reference two of my all time favorite writers in the genera,

It took me ages to get that out of my head the first time. Thanks.

And here I thought maybe it was discovered that Brust had made an appearance way back when in Excalibur, the movie. Loved the Taltos stuff. Cowboy Feng's still a favourite. The rest... meh. Also not excited about him writing a Firefly book, though I like Brust and I like Firefly.

The overblown style of Brust's Phoenix Guards books is one of several idioms that I must be careful around. If I'm exposed to it, I am overcome by the urge to write and talk in a vaguely similar fashion.

Dangerous!
