Every once and while you find a site that leaves you completely speechless...

John Nozum's Sleep Apnea page isn't particularly interesting unless you suffer from the condition. He spends a great deal of time discussing his treatment which included a Tracheostomy. Some of it's not pleasant to look at but then you stumble onto this page and things... well... what can I say? I just hope to God this guy never gets a colostomy bag. A few warnings: Although not particularly gory or gross, many of these pictures are unpleasant in one way or another. Also, there's an embedded midi file on every page. BEWARE (it's located at the bottom of the page).
My father suffers from the condidtion and wears the CPAP Machine and full headgear at night.
No mention of surgery whatsoever thankfully.
Very interesting to get an account of an individual's experience of the condition.
Thanks.

I'd seen the "fun trach" pictures before, but didn't know it was part of a larger site, nor why he'd had to have the trach surgery.
That guy really is amazing. The fact that he can have such a sense of humor about things when life has tossed him so much crap is, hokey or not, pretty inspiring. Typically I'm an ironic bastard, but I really do mean it this time.

No, he's got Goldenhar’s syndrome and is missing his eyelids on the left eye, among about a dozen other things. No wonder he's got such a good sense of humor!
