hey, there are only 5 syllables to work with in the first line of a haiku.... :)
I guess this post needed more explanation, since I'd have thought a haiku-related thread would get more response... A couple of the callers on the show came up with very funny ones, but I think the level of haiku here on MeFi is usually higher than on the radio show.
