Interesting summary and road map for the future of the series. Personally, we've done a rewatch with the kids, and after the first film, I have just called them the "Dinosaurs Eating People movies". I also told my kids I'm cheering for the dinosaurs.

does anyone NOT cheer for the dinos?

I saw Jurassic World in the theatre specifically so I could see families and children terrified and gobbled up :D

Not sure, but I didn't want my kids to freak out when I started laughing with delight as people got gobbled up, maimed, trampled, or otherwise dispatched.

Jurassic Park 11: It turns out we were the dinosaurs all along.

Jurassic Park 12: A terrible new evil leader of the Carnosaurs starts a fascist invasion, forcing the Oviraptors and humanity into a tenuous alliance.

Jurassic Park 13: Dinotopia- Dinosaurs rise up against their human masters, conquering the earth and enslaving mankind.

Jurassic Park 14: A human astronaut goes deep beneath the Dinosaur capital and discovers a weird cult of mutant humans who worship the atomic bomb.

Jurassic Park 15: A social comedy of manners when Lord Tyrannosaurus dies, setting off a series of intrigues between his many carnosaur heirs and also the various creditors of Dentigrade Abbey.

Jurassic Park 16: A stoner comedy about the misadventures of two teenage Velociraptors as they try to get to this giant music festival on a tropical island.

Jurassic Park 17: Actually just Ingmar Bergmann's Wild Strawberries, but they photoshopped dinosaur heads on to all the characters and then told the American audiences that the uncaptioned Swedish was actually 'the native Dinosaur language'.

Jurassic Park 18: It was a mistake to allow Gaspar Noe to direct a Jurassic Park film. Unless you're really, really into dinosaur sex, I suppose.

Thoughts:

I’ve seen the first and second ones, but after that my brain just said “That’ll do, dawg. That’ll do.”

What we really need is probably a Jurassic Sharkjedis On A Planemageddon to finally put this thing out of our misery.

I like Chris Pratt as much as anyone, but I honestly never get the impression that he’s acting.

But he holds his hands out and the dinosaurs don't eat him!

A sequel involving the agile development of Unix-based park gate control systems. Scrums to be mastered with so little time! Programming more extreme than anything seen before! Velociraptor Kanban charts! Kernels compressed by brontosaurus feet... Not too niche surely?

I'm still waiting for the one where the blow up the dinosaurs with missiles and machine guns. It's what every kid wants to see, like a mix of Star Wars and Jurassic Park. Then the dinos will be sympathetic again. Like every Jurassic Park hints at it, but somehow guns only work at 10 feet in the Jurassic Park universe.
