Grandma's Kitchen (youtube), the Roller Toaster, the water-less washing machine, the sculptures of Gwon Osong, a crucifix-shaped mp3 player... some of the people and things found on CubeMe, a blog about "wonderful stuff".
And Cory telling me to support EFF rights? And Disney geekery, I WANT MY DISNEY GEEKERY!!

I have that crucifix-shaped shuffle holder... and lemme tell you, I get the dirtiest looks on the street. Even worse looks than when I was a punk rawker in the 80s, sporting nasty signs on my ripped tshirts....

Sorry to add, dobbs, Milkman Dan, and sunexplodes - but those are crosses. A true crucifix would include a body. As fashion items apart from necklaces, Crucifixes are considered sacriligeous in many circles, as the corpus is reflective of Christ's suffering.
That's not to say folks won't get in a tizzy over crosses as Goth/Punk/Metal accessories. I knew someone who bought a bolo tie patterned after a wrought iron cemetary cross from the Victorian Era. From a distance, the filigree pattern would often be mistaken for a mass of writhing bodies.

A friend once had an idea for a TV series, it always ended with the same character saying "Well that's toast." He had no other details about the show.

Seems to be a lot of 3D rendered imaginations of what this stuff would be like, if it existed.
