Come for a video about manufacturing of cookware in Korea, stay for the closed captions
(seriously, turn on the captions)

Doesn't South Korea have a pretty serious OSHA equivalent? I love all these videos of artisanal factory production, but someone needs to buy that first guy some safety glasses and a respirator that is up to all that dust.

reminds me of "Industry on Parade", which used to appear on Saturday mornings along with things like Sky King and My Friend Flicka (yes, I'm that old).
(and as an aside, TIL "[the book] My Friend Flicka, was banned from the sixth grade reading list in Clay County Florida in 1990, because it contained the word "bitch". Ironically, the word was used in the proper context, to refer to a female dog. The more things change ...)

I've been watching Factory Monster's videos for a while and they all have entertaining captions. This steel-recycling factory is visually spectacular!
There seems to be an entire genre of Korean factory and workshop tour videos without narration - once I had watched a few videos from one Korean factory and workshop tour video channel, youtube figured it out and started recommending more channels. They all have very similar editing styles, but Factory Monster is a bit of an outlier in having some personality in the captions.

It's a really specific combo for people who like how it's made videos and silly captions. I love the channel

Just watched the earthenware mug video and now I need a mug like that. Any idea where I can get one in The States?

A little confused: aren't they supposed to push the dinglebop through the grumbo at some point?

so the sad thing is that the fun captions appear to only be there in english. no references to porsche taycans or pokemon, nothing about stomach massages, it's all business in korean
but yes, factory monster and similar ones are great, and i also like the sort of related ones with a similar aesthetic for food manufacturing plants, restaurants, and street food carts

also: if you're looking for something like the first traditional pot, it's a "dolsot" (stone); for the last one, it's a "ttukbaegi" (earthenware); the large one in the middle is used for storage and fermentation, and that's called "onggi".
with both the dolsot and ttukbaegi, don't wash it with soap, because you don't want the soap flavor; scrub with hot water and salt or rice water, let dry completely, and then swipe with oil before cooking. since they're stone, don't put it on the stove cold; let it heat up from low.
