Blogger: The relaunch verdict?

Blogger: The relaunch verdict? Blogger.com relauched their site with a funky new look and still more kewl features, do they still rock?
I had teething troubles in getting the remote editing to work. But after all that, it now works and in my opinion of course Blogger still rocks!
What depicts weblogging? A person in a chair with a computer nearby? How do you make an iconized version of that? :)
I like the site, and the B. You know webloggers, we're always craving efficiency. First it was "weblog" then "blog" and maybe we'll just call it "B" from now on, and considering how much webloggers talk about weblogs, all those precious seconds we save will add years to our lives.

Yeah, you have the idea :-)
I dunno really - I just the "B" is too vague - it could be anything. Maybe some arrows going from the B and splitting off into different directions to depict the spread of what you write going into the cyber-ether? :-)

The B perhaps is a little bit vague - the addition of arrows would be pretty good - perhaps just two though, in a diagonal.
Come to think of it - the B on the Blogger homepage is a little bit large. But it is branding.

I love the B - it's stylized, simple, and easily recognizeable - 1 week from now, when you see that B, your brain will interpret "BLOGGER" - which is good branding. Because it's simple, it'll be easy to use in lots of different ways... I'm sorry, I just love it.
Not that I don't like the new site look, 'cause I do. It's... I don't know how to explain... shrinkwrapped. Like before it was this cool free service and now it's a "P"roduct. And I don't mean that in a bad way - I just mean it's very clean and professional - plus, having a search form on the front page makes it easier for me to do self.browsing. The remote editing worked right away for me (and since I often forget to add my target tag when I'm initially blogging something, I frequently need to edit), and although I haven't worked around my specific problems on the self.linking trick, it's just all come together very nicely for me.
Yay to Blogger!
Yay to Derek!
Yay to increased utility on my website!!!

The comments here remind me of my drawing class instructor. He'd prance around the room waving his arms in the air and say:
Feel the forms. Draw.
And then he'd dissappear for the next couple of hours. So now, like the forms of some inert tangled mass, the letter B has meaning and special significance eh? I'd say it's about as meaningful a logo as AT&T's Death Star.

"Congrats to the Blogger team, esp designer Derek Powazek, for a great redesign of the Blogger site. They've raised the bar on sites for managing Weblogs. As always, an inspiration!" And it appears Winer has made a peace offering to Derek. Huzzah! Or maybe he's being ironic ...

For those who don't like the B, it could be worse. It could swoosh or swirl.

It's not just a "B". At least, not to me.
I think it looks like a B-shaped electrical outlet, or at least like the thing on an extension cord that you plug into.
See, if you wanna "get connected", then you need to "plug in" to Blogger.
I like it.

Doesn't look like just a "B" to me either. Seems like it's the letters B L o G G E R all overlapping each other. I did like the old, written-out logo better, though.

Um, I thought the concensus was "swirlies, swooshies, and spelling out 'blogger' so that the slow kids wouldn't think it was an electrical socket" ... no?

don't like the logo. It doesn't say anything - it's just a "B". If that'd been
me designing it, I would have tried to have the logo depict something about
weblogging or something. Aside from that, I think Derek
did a cool job.
