Home Grown figurines by Enesco are animal-vegetable, bird-fruit, and other creatures, including such marvels as a zucchini frog, mushroom snail, and pear-penguins.

For a long time one of my things I’m into (like, since I was ten) was animals made out of food, or food that looks like animals. I was always a huge fan of historical feast things where they like, make peacocks and cameleopards out of marzipan and puff pastries and cloves or whatever with twelve layers of roasted game meats and strange vegetable combinations inside. I also get an outsized amount of delight when produce looks figural, like when root vegetables look like a fellow crossing their legs, or a stone fruit has a dimply butt. So one birthday my best friend gave me a box and inside it was a bunny with a baby bunny that look like carrots, with little stubby green tails! Holy shit, top ten birthday presents no question. The other folks at the gathering were like “haha, what a weird gag gift” and I had to explain that I was being entirely sincere, and how could they not see how amazing this was?
I don’t really want the whole collection, but there are a few I’ve considered acquiring to keep my bunnies company.

If the hippo is not potato enough for you, there is a potato cow, a potato pig with leafy ears, and several sweet potato animals.

Oh so many of these would make absolutely marvelous tattoos, especially the carrot rabbits and the mushroom ray.
