One of Steve Jobs' final projects came to fruition yesterday when Apple announced iBooks textbooks for the iPad and a new course management app. Some say it's a sea change, but others think it's too soon. The strongest reactions, though, came in response to the EULA for the new iBooks Author software for authoring iBooks. It's been called "mind-bogglingly greedy and evil," "unprecedented audacity," and "Apple at its worst." But the software also makes it easier than ever to create textbooks for free.
