Vogtle Nuclear Power

The US re-enters the Nuclear era. With the building of GEN III reactors the US looks to restart its commercial atomic industry. Concerns abound, as well as profits and promise of consistent, affordable power.

The risk of nuclear power lies not in the likelihood of failure, but the consequences if it does occur. Should we be willing to bare them? Keep in mind that this question is academic as we are married to nuclear power not only for the obvious energy, but for necessary medical isotopes.
