Videogamers and Misogyny

Anita Sarkeesian (previously) is known for her video critiques of pop culture from a feminist perspective. Recently she started a kickstarter project to raise funds for a video project to explore tropes and stereotypes in video games. As word got out on this project, she was subjected to an organized campaign of harassment by video gamers.
Aside from rants and threats, the gamers vandalized her wikipedia page, attempted to get her youtube posts labelled as terrorist videos and her project banned from kickstarter. the campaign hasn't succeeded- as of now, she's well above her goals.
