From the government, here to help?

This post was deleted for the following reason: It's not at all clear what you're going for here; if there's some article or commentary somewhere that analyzes various governmental web standards and makes this pertinent, you need to include that. -- taz

You broke Canada.
Tu as brisé le Canada.

Not being a web person, I'm not entirely sure what I am supposed to be looking at.

Do you have anything to say about this?

Yeah, wondering what the take away is. That Cameron's "Big Society" requires a militant adherence to a huge, sans-serif, scrolly Web 2.5 design ethos?

Having poked about:

They're almost all white backgrounds/blue text.

And the US seems to like pdfs.

And India seems to be (inexplicably?) in English.

I look at this crap all day, I never expected to see it on MeFi.

I mean, yes, the US publishes all its guidelines in PDF files. They've been PDF files for over ten years. Not great, but the guidance itself is pretty good if you can hold your nose regarding the file formats. So I don't see the point to this list. It's almost like the post wants to be axe-grindy but can't even admit this to itself.

The UK one had a big pink popup that covered all the page. Other than that, looking on my phone, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to contrast.

I'm a big fan of RTMFA, but it would have been nice if the OP had done just a little work here to explain why this collection of URLs is being presented to us.

Then again, I hated Myst, so I may not be the target audience for this sort of thing.

I loved Myst, and I'm sure I'm not in the target audience.

I'm just waiting for the thread to be deleted mid comment now.
