Could this be the tipping point?

If Amendment 64 passes in Colorado this November, it will fully legalize the purchase of marijuana for any adult in that state, regardless of medical need or state citizenship. This would be unprecidented in the United States, and it looks like it might actually pass, with 50% in favor to 40% opposed in the latest poll. Many conservatives are even hopping on board... but who knows how the DEA will react if the amendment passes, given that such an amendment is in direct opposition to federal law?

As mentioned in the 2nd link, Washington and Oregon might also legalize this year.
