At the National Organization for Marriage's Marriage March, Buzzfeed got 20 young people to write why they were supporting "traditional" marriage. Apparently, it went viral, and George Takei "simply had to respond." Here are his response to 9 of the young people's comments.

Ah, thank you. I saw Takei's rebuttals as an imgur gallery and was somewhat curious as to just who got all these kids to write their reasons against gay marriage and pose with it.

But not curious enough to, you know, actually go looking and find out. Thank you for actually bothering!

Why use the phrase "support traditional marriage"? I support traditional marriage. I also support non-traditional marriage. I support shacking up without being married. I support celibacy, for that matter.

The question isn't why do you support traditional marriage, it's why don't you want people who aren't like you to be happy?
