The Independent has published an article Exclusive: UK’s secret Mid-East internet surveillance base is revealed in Edward Snowden leaks.

The four bylined journalists reporting for The Independent insist that they're "not revealing the precise location of the station but information on its activities was contained in the leaked documents obtained from the NSA by Edward Snowden."

(note: The source for this information is not stated as being Snowden's leak, but rather is known to be contained in them by someone privy to their contents)

In The Guardian, Glenn Greenwald (who opted not to release that information) has posted an op-ed piece accusing The Independent and the UK Government of subterfuge: Snowden: UK government now leaking documents about itself
