Why vote only on Election Day?

There have been a lot of new laws in the US aiming to restrict voting. But at least 20 states have considered starting or expanding early voting programs this year. A new report states that early voting solves many election problems like long lines and machine glitches. Early voting also gives poll workers more time to correct registration problems, and it makes voting easier for busy people.

Back in 2008 I strolled over to the early voting place on campus, about a week before the election, and cast my vote without having to wait in a line. Of course this was in North Carolina, and they have since severely curtailed the ability to do this. But it was WONDERFUL.
