A changing of the winds

Facebook is discontinuing integrated chat in the main mobile application, instead encouraging users to download an additional app. Meanwhile, [almost simultaneously] Snapchat rolls out a messaging service built into their native app that has intuitive instant video chat and a huge user base. Not many news agencies (internet or otherwise) have picked up on the fact that the impact of both of these actions together may lead to an exodus of Facebook messenger use on mobile devices. You heard it here first, folks!

Authors Note: If you haven't yet joined snapchat, then please refrain from complaining about nude pictures or teenagers. It really is a nice feature to not have to worry about a company saving your information, conversations, and pictures for the rest of your life, and I have sent/received over 10,000 snaps without one with illicit content.

I am actually very happy about this. I always accidentally hit the chat button when I have no interest with chatting with people over Facebook.
