This is counterproductive, right?

Owning Up to Your Attractiveness May Help Get You a Job This just seems awfully resemblant of a cliche teenage rom-com where the "nerd" apologizes for his or her individuality in an attempt to roll with the "in-crowd" or something...

I'm a 19-year-old female college student. I'm not going to say I know exactly what I think or feel about a lot of what's going on on the "feminist front," because I don't.

I do know this is highly counter-productive to gaining the social equality I know I want. Women shouldn't have to apologize for their gender or appearance as a way to get hired for a job they want.

This seems awfully counterproductive to almost every other thing women are doing to gain respect, equality, and success, right? Right?!
