In 1964, John Spinello invented an electric game where the player tried to avoid touching the metal sides of an opening with a stylus, and if they failed, it let out a huge buzz. He sold the idea for $500 and the promise of a job after graduating from college. He never got the job, the concept became Operation, one of the best known games of all time. Now John is the one that needs an operation.
John says he's had a good life and is not bitter about never receiving any royalties for his invention. However, now he needs $25,000 for a surgery that he can't afford. As of this morning, crowd funding came to the rescue, raising $25,250.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Yeah, the active fundraiser is a problem here. Feel free to repost without it, or after it closes. -- goodnewsfortheinsane
