Aside from all the other issues, the author identifies CAH's main problem as a *game*; every time you play it, it's about half as much fun as the last time.

I mean, there's also the rape accusation...

This just in: Reporter shocked and grossed out by gross-out shock humor. Also finds book of Truly Tasteless Jokes to be, quote, "truly tasteless."

Temkin writes like a considerate, understanding person about sexual assault and rape culture. He said his lawyer told him he’d have a strong libel case, but he won’t take legal action because he’s “not wild about the precedent that sets for other women to come forward in cases of actual sexual assault.” It’s hard to tell if he’s a legitimate ally or just looking for feminist brownie points.

Oh just fuck right off with your white knight accusations.

Fortunately, we're arresting people for that shit in the UK now.

Presumably, Cards Against Humanity will be pulled off the shelves, ASAP.

Going To Maine: "I mean, there's also the rape accusation..."

The article goes into fairly deep about that stuff, and some of the interesting backlashes against the backlashes.

It's just rarely stated in these crituques that even if you only played Crabs Adjust Humidity (or Devops Against Humanity), the game has a short shelf life. Especially since no matter the games rules as written, the game ends when everyone is tired and ready to drive home drunk, thus hastening the game's demise.

So not only is it a game for terrible people, it's really not even a good game for those terrible people for very long.

And yeah, previously. The articles are pretty similar.
