Milk
The story of Harvey Milk, and his struggles as an American gay activist who fought for gay rights and became California's first openly gay elected official.
The timeline of the film was compressed considerably. Even though there are good artistic reasons for this, it should not be thought of as "true".

I'm just gonna leave this book here. It's a way better list and a much more exhaustive commentary on "accuracy vs. not".
