Wait, they list The Lion in Winter, but show something other than the Hepburn/O'Toole version? You call that history? Every Medievalist knows that Eleanor of Aquitaine looked and spoke just like Katherine Hepburn!

For a real historian talking about what is historical and what not with The Lion in Winter, you could do worse than go to the movies with an historian....

I'm throwing this whole list out, because Band of Brothers is not a film.

Milk

The story of Harvey Milk, and his struggles as an American gay activist who fought for gay rights and became California's first openly gay elected official.

The timeline of the film was compressed considerably. Even though there are good artistic reasons for this, it should not be thought of as "true".

I'm just gonna leave this book here. It's a way better list and a much more exhaustive commentary on "accuracy vs. not".
