A motivational fitness video for women...featuring jiggly thighs, bingo wings and wobbly tums.

#ThisGirlCan is Sport England's new initiative, aimed at encouraging women to get into exercise without fear of judgement about their size, shape or ability. "This campaign says it really doesn’t matter if you are a bit rubbish or completely brilliant, the main thing is that you are a woman and you are doing something, and that deserves to be celebrated.”

"All the fake body parts the media wants you to hate, and why you shouldn't care"

By which I mean, I get that this campaign is inspiring for a lot of people (thought it doesn't really resonate with me), but there's no reason to perpetuate the use of language which is designed to make parts of women's bodies sound inherently shameful (and encourage self-shame about those parts), even in the name of promoting something that's a good thing for some people.
