Tweet your period

Ireland's abortion laws put many lives at risk. Abortion in Ireland is illegal with the sole exception of when the mother’s life is in immediate danger. Comedian Gráinne Maguire is using Twitter to focus more attention to the issue by live-tweeting the details of her period to Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny.

From Broadly (Vice.com): "For Maguire, tweeting the details of her period at the Irish government made perfect sense. After all, if male politicians believe they have ownership over female bodies, shouldn't they know all the gory details?"

I really, really want people to be more OK with the glory and goop of their bodies. So aside from supporting abortion rights, I support this because everyone should get used to the fact that we are big bags of pressurized funny smelling fluids.

Such a fucking copout to say they won't hold a referendum without considering what could replace it. Ok then asshole, start considering! Or get out of public life and leave it to people who are able to think about hard topics.
