I always figured the answer was similar to the one my mom gave us on Mothers Day when we whined that there wasn't a Kids Day: because every day is Kids Day, now stop whining.
That said I don't think the men asking this question really want a men's day. I think they just resent having to think about anybody other than themselves even for the fifteen seconds it takes them to dismiss International Women's Day. How dare injustice intrude upon their privilege?

I completely agree with the sentiment "every day is man day" but I think it's really nice that there is a nice, succinct, answer to shut these clowns up with. This page is handy, thanks.

I don't think a site that starts out by addressing half its audience as "petulant crybaby fuckwombles" is a good MeFi post. This isn't "a short FAQ", it's aggressive and insulting.
It isn't addressing half its audience as petulant crybaby fuckwombles, only the petulant crybaby fuckwomble portion of that half.

I sincerely hope that less than half the people who click this link from Metafilter are angry about there not being an International Men's Day on International Women's Day.

It's not addressing half it's audience. Just that portion that lashes out as an atavistic response like petulant cry baby fuck wombles at the merest notion of others getting something.
