The carnage that outdoor cats inflict is staggering. Outdoor cats kill between 1.4 billion and 3.7 billion birds a year.
I know this has been discussed here before, and as a cat owner for many years I have lots of first-hand evidence, but it still amazes me what efficient little killing machines they are.
