I mean if this turned into a whole thread of more videos of pets/animals eating watermelon, I don't think anyone would be mad or upset about that.

That first dog kept making me laugh (just like the owner), though I’m not sure why. The daintiness, maybe—using those little front teeth so delicately to nibble in tidy kronches.

All my cats and dogs growing up loved melon (canteloupe was their favorite). Current cat likes mustard, garlic, and caesar salad dressing. So strange.

I am going to save most of these for when I really need them but if any of them are dog-eating watermelon instead of dog, eating watermelon I will find you and I will not feed you watermelon.

My personal favorite has been hippo eating watermelon. I was pretty sure I found that on metafilter originally, but a quick search didn't turn up any previouslies.

My cat likes watermelon but won’t actually bite into it. He erodes it with his tongue as if trying to drink it.

I'm waiting for foosnark to show up and talk about his cat, Kyoko, who loved to eat watermelon. When we were roommates it was a pastime of ours to feed her watermelon whenever we had it out.
Alas, we have no video of it. It was a different time.

Inspired, here are my 3 mannerless dogs eating watermelon. They do not nibble nicely, but take the biggest chomps possible and try to pull the whole slice out of my hand. All 3! Ruthless.
