"pastoral interlude"

Today, I was introduced to the work of British photographer Ingrid Pollard by our favourite tweeting museum. Diving into her work, I found her doctoral disseration (Westminster, 2016), and the thread pointed to a journal article (Kinsman, 1995) analysing (Bertrand, 2014) her body of work.

I love the hand-tinted work, thanks for this.

Thanks for this. New to me and and it's good stuff.
Found her website which left me totally frustrated because I want to see them real size. The small just doesn't cut it. Such a pity as these are great.
There is a lot of love here and she has great affinity for her subject matter.
I also like her exploration into British Pub Signs for which she was won a BALTIC award and which she talks about here.

Her portraits are very intimate and physical. She has a great way of catching time.
