RIP Suzanne Somers, dead at 76 from breast cancer. Actress, entrepreneur, Thighmaster spokesperson. She had a difficult upbringing, including an alcoholic father and an arrest (her modeling money was late and she had some grocery checks bounce), and will always be best known for her Chrissy Snow character and subsequent firing by ABC.

Bouncing a few checks for groceries 52 years ago when she was young (and she paid the money back evidently) and linking to a mugshot with a bunch of inappropriate comments on it is a bit of a weird thing to include here on an obituary, no? Am I missing something important about that?

She was ever-present in my childhood and was just a few years younger than my mom, who is so far a breast cancer survivor. I didn't realize I would be sad about her passing, but I am. RIP Suzanne.
