Better off Red?

Seeing Reds. Chicago’s two major newspapers have launched tabloids (The Tribune’s “RedEye” and The Sun-Times’ “Red Streak”) to capture that elusive 18-34 year old demographic. Other Chicago weeklies, like the Chicago Redder, er, Reader are watching this experiment closely.

My question is: When is the media going to treat younger readers like smart readers? (Speaking as one who falls at the lower-end of this demographic).
