I thought that, post 9/11, irony was dead in America? Apparently it has returned. It think it's mainly due to this video. I mean, like, what?

'the death of irony' was probably the tripe-y-est hype to emerge from the rubble of nine one one so its supposed resurrection is a non-issue. it never left.

um, that song came out quite a long time before 2001. it had a video long before as well, I recall watching it on Sifl and Olly. it was a different video, one starring the sock puppet stars of the show's namesake, so I dunno who the hot topic shopper appearing in this one is!
