Why is this story getting reposted so much? Are people just not reading Metafilter and then posting?

Maybe Matt should stick a link to the original posting in the sidebar.

It's easy to miss a previous link that was posted to MeFi. What's more, as Su used a different link than the previous post, a search wouldn't have uncovered the duplication.

There are many people (like myself) who missed the first link altogether, and appreciate a second chance to check out what is an interesting story.

So here's a suggestion: Rather than issuing condescending remarks about a double post, why not simply provide a polite link to the previous thread?
