"Out of the rubbles of Trent Lott's house -- he's lost his entire house -- there's going to be a fantastic house. And I'm looking forward to sitting on the porch." (Laughter.) -President George Bush, White House Press Room, Sept. 2 2005. As unsubstantiated reports of cannibalism at New Orleans surfaces.

It's official: the President has no shame, and those who continue to support him have -- if such a thing is possible -- even less.

Of course Trent Lott will get a nice new house. He's white. And rich. And a Republican.

Once again this President shows that he just doesn't get it.

Glad you didn't take anything out of context.

Before he made the remark about Lott's house, he said:

We've got a lot of rebuilding to do. First, we're going to save lives and stabilize the situation. And then we're going to help these communities rebuild. The good news is -- and it's hard for some to see it now -- that out of this chaos is going to come a fantastic Gulf Coast, like it was before.

Directly after the remark about Lott's house he said:

Out of New Orleans is going to come that great city again. That's what's going to happen. But now we're in the darkest days, and so we got a lot of work to do.

This disaster is about a lot more than you hating George W. Bush, you pathetic, selfish fuck.
