Black sergeant was 'loyal Klansman' Those ironic quotes are central to this story of Krazy Konehead Klowns. Stunning proof that white supremacy is for the truely stupid.

Ron Stallworth was on As It Happens this evening (not available yet). Pretty cool!

Why are they investigating Progressive Labor Party? Are they violent or something?

What are you talking about, ryanissuper. They're communists for Christ's sake.

Speaking of ironic quotes, how 'bout "truely stupid"?

Here here, ryanissuper. I mean, I dig the deception of the clan - but the Progressive Labor Party? Really? They're still doing that?

To completely side track the convo -- why investigate a group rallying against the Klan? Shouldn't any self-respecting American rally WITH groups that are fighting a virulent organization like the KKK, economic views notwithstanding? If a group of Young Republicans was out on the front lines throwing barbs and bottles at the Klan, you can be damn sure my socialist ass would be there with them.

Cool, funny story, though. Irony is beautiful, isn't it?

truely stupid

I bloody hope that "pun" was intended. Moran.

Their goal is to investigate into possible violence against other fellow humans. Regardless of how awful the Klan may be, if the PLP was planning some sort of violent assault against them, that would be awful as well. I imagine this is the rationale behind that.

I dislike the klan. 'Nuff said, eh?

But what the heck is this about "truely [sic] stupid"? Multiple people orchestrated and executed a planned deception.

Har har, look at them racists believin' lies that're told to them unlike me or my kin.

Eh, too lazy to rip the image from my Chappelle's Show DVD.

Let me just be the first black man in this thread to say: "WHITE POWER!"

I'm saddened that it took 9 comments to get to the Chappelle reference.

I hate Illinois Nazis?

Heh. That must have been satisfying for him. Good work, Sergeant.

Stallworth communicated with Klan leaders using the telephone. A white officer posing as Stallworth went to the meetings.

It's still a good story, but that does take some of the funny out of it.

"Truely" is an instensifier, you language Nazis. As in "Well and truely good."

I love this story because at one time, Coalition for Human Dignity (CHD - a truely kickass human rights group in Portland) had infiltrated nearly every Konehead and Nazi group in the Pacific Northwest and had lots of phantom identities who got promoted to leadership positions. The joke is that most Konehead organizations are just mail-order con games, so anybody can become a leader if they are willing to put a little time, money and social engineering into it.

As far as the PLP goes, remember these are cops and not very bright politically. It's the old false dichotomy fallacy -- God did not make a leftist asshole to balance every fascist scumbag. But then cops tend to watch a lot of Fox News, so what do you expect?

I think it's your spelling of truly that is truly the problem, not your use of it.

Well, aw shucks. I'm truly chagrinned.

In other good news, Eustace Mullins has disappeared without a trace. Probably holed up with some skinhead buttboys and a half-rack of amyl nitrate poppers.
