This post was deleted for the following reason: this is not a very good post.

This is the first time I've ever though "is this the best of the web?"

I feel dirty now.

Yeah, I'm with ya twine.

Generally I'm not too snarky about the quality of posts, but really? One forum post? That runs for about a paragraph?

Really?

I didn't believe that wisdom before, but I do now.

Well, now I'm convinced!

So, if I view 7 quality fpps and one shitty one, I will further appreciate the other 7, right?

Hey, thanks, henryw!

Well, I thought the idea was very cool and original. Given the obesity epidemic we are having, the tip is very helpful.

2 posts in 6 days:
1 news story on MSN.
1 forum post on the general benefits of exercise.

Henry, please, take a sit down and have a look at other examples of front page posts. You can do better than this.

The idea that one should work out for an hour a day? C'mon pal. I'm not mad atcha but you are playing silly buggers right?

Yeah, read the site a little and participate before you post is the name of the game.

The tip is apocryphal advice from a high school gym teacher without any supporting material. Not even a "before and after" story. Nothing. It's in the same class as "Call out Gouranga" for usefulness.

What NinjaTadpole said. That's fine that you thought the forum post was cool and original, but it's not a good post on its own. Not because it's a single link, but because it's a single link to a one paragraph forum post, a post that didn't even merit any replies. On its own, it's a wtf post. Maybe you could have fleshed it out with more links that supported the theory. Given it some meat, as it were. Try more harderer next time :P

Hey, but what about that guy I read about somewhere a few months ago who smoked and drank and never exercised and lived to 101 years old?

*starts madly scouring internet to find a bit about it to make FPP*

It occurred to me that there is more to life than to chew on our potatos. Does the responsibility lie with the Blogosphere, you probably wonder... So you want to know the truth? It was back in 2000 my whole body was filled with fear. Nevermind about the details, but... In a nut-shell: But it was different that time. I saw an image of my computer, broken and gray. And here's why this matters...

I think it's a fabu idea and all, but try this at work:

"Henry, you've been exactly one hour late every day this week. Why should I not fire you?"

"Well, you see, I've been more productive in the 7 hours I'm here because I was working out."

A) "Ah, yes. Carry on then."
B) "Right. Work out on your own time, Bub."

I'd venture to guess most people work for (B).

Man, if this post generated that many replies on it's original forum, just imagine how many comments it will get here!

You people are mean.

But you know, you could be meaner. For every eight hours you normally spend each day being mean, if you took just one hour to be nice, you would soon find that one admittedly tedious hour of niceness alleviates all your feelings of guilt and that you are actually able to be meanerer during the other seven than...
