Cool Conversion Site Zamzar is a new Web 2.0 site that has recently launched, offering free online file conversion for documents, videos, images and music. It supports hundreds of formats whether you're converting PDF to DOC or AAC to MP3. You can upload up to 5 files simultaneously and up to 100MB of data. Overall a really useful tool for anyone needing to convert files in a hurry !

Hmmm ... looks like a self-link. I don't predict a good end to this ...

Ah, but will it convert you into something that isn't an asshole?

It's too bad we don't allow inline images anymore, or I'd use your site to convert a whole batch of animals taking a dump.

I hope the traffic you got was worth the five bucks. Thank you, please do not come again.

Web 2 is so last year. I will only visit Web 3 sites now. Please try harder.

I am not to clever about this spamming malarkey. How can you tell it's his site? Just in case I fancy doing the Sherlock Holmes bit in the future.

Ah, it's a self link. So I guess there's not much point in commenting on the general link, but I'll do it anyway.

This is a fucking stupid idea. Why the hell would anyone want to do this remotely? it's a huge waste of bandwidth and it's a huge, I guess I would say "underutilization" of the local CPU.

This is the exact wrong type of service to put online.

It's posted as his "Home Page" on his profile.

Ah right. I clicked on it and saw it was set up a week ago but I never took it any further. I don't think I am cut out for being a polis.

Well, to his credit, he didn't really try to hide the fact that its his site, but he also didn't bother to read any of the guidelines for using MeFi. Also, what delmoi said.

Not only is it a self-link, but it doesn't even work that well:

Please contact the server administrator, support@zamzar.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Way to blame the victim.
