I don't quite see how these links relate in a cohesive manner.

I like that this says "mmmm" on the front page. If you read Morse Code.

Okay... so look at the post. You'll notice that it's composed of nothing but dashed lines, the title ("Dashed line") and a tag. This is so stupid. Why does everyone use this style? Why does everyone think its so cool? hmmm... I will never understand but I think I've seen about enough context-free posts to make me sick.

I see what you did there, marathon, Dash-ed line—clever.

I'll just dash this one off.

This isn't another hangman thread, is it?

Does this have something to do with loving bees or a cloverfield or something?

It wasn't hangman!

Dashed lines will forever be associated with things hidden and when interspersed with lines, the center of things. Well, and Family Circus. But my stronger association is with drafting. But this only reminds me that I really hate poorly drawn and dimensioned instructions.

My hopes were dashed years ago. Since then it's just day by day. Day by day.

The dashed line as a celebrated daredevil.
The dashed line as a leader in world affairs.
The dashed line as a fearless law enforcement agent.
The dashed line as a potent force in the world of art.
The dashed line as an international sportsman.

They left out my favorite use of a dashed line: to indicate a structure to be built (a building extension, a highway bypass, etc.). The dashed line is our future. Invest in dashed line now. Dashing dashed line for tomorrow.

(Thanks, this is fun.)

The best part of this post is clearly the instructions for proper boobie touching diagram.

Ellipses, man, who knew?

I'd just like to point out that Mathew Roy, who designed the trendy box page and is pissing and moaning about how crappy websites are, has a really really crappy website.

The Trendy Box ones look like coupons.

Ellipses aren't dashes:

That Trendy Box guy sure has strong opinions for a guy whose web design sucks shit.

Ellipses aren't dashes

They sure aren't. 'Ellipses' is the plural form of 'ellipse,' in addition to referring to '...'

The diagram to which I linked features a series of ovular shapes. They probably aren't true mathematical ellipses.
