Riotclitshave's photo blog is consistently amazing. Her posts are organized, sometimes very subtly and ingeniously, by broad themes as banal as cats, abstract as light or form and as big as war or love. For more photo fun with LJ, there's the often NSFW, always fascinating feed of the last 50 images posted to Livejournal.

I don't really see the problem here. Livejournal users don't profit from pageviews, and can't use google ads or anything similar. This journal has been around for almost three years, and I don't believe that there has been any controversy. She could be a bit less flippant in her statement that she will credit or remove the work of photographers who object to their work being added to her blog, but the offer is there.

I know a few photographers who've had their work featured, and they were happy to be included.

i did see one post where the "author" berated people for hotlinking "her" images..

was a little off putting to say the least.. moaning about people "stealing" her bandwidth and all when the entire body of her work was borrowed from others..

i must admit i did look at the whole site and the pics are somewhat interesting.

Rehosting and then posting a photo costs the photo's creator nothing. Hotlinking costs the hoster money.
