“SO GORGEOUS was the spectacle on the May morning of 1910 when nine kings rode in the funeral of Edward VII that the crowd, waiting in hushed and black-clad awe, could not keep back gasps of admiration.” So begins Barbara Tuchman’s Pulitzer prize-winning account of the start of the First World War. This post was deleted for the following reason: Wikipedia and Amazon links are neither generally good enough for a post without something more substantial included as well; there's not really anything here for anyone to read. -- cortex
