Bill Gates fooled by Quebec radio station.He may be the world's richest man, but that didn't prevent Bill Gates from falling for an April Fool's Day joke by two Quebec radio comics pretending to be Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien.

I can't find the Jax transcript, that sounded pretty funny but I don't know enough French to understand it all.

Most of the french is just a description of how they set up the joke, starting out by tracking down phone numbers then getting through to a PR rep at MS. He asked them for some information on Canada's economy so they got a research paper off the web and forwarded it to them.

The funniest part for those who know Montreal is when he suggested meeting at Paree, which apparantly is a well known strip club in downtown Montreal.

Or the crack about riding an elevator with Celine Dion's husband.

What a farce.

You know, this sounds absolutely nothing like Chrétien. The Anglo radios would have done a better job of it as they usually do. :-)

Gates was probably thinking "Damn, that guy on Canadian Air Farce wasn't far off with his Chretien impression! What a stupid a-hole!"
