"Verbal orders of the Comdr on 1 Aug. 72 suspending 1st Lt. George W. Bush ... from flying status are confirmed... Reason for suspension: failure to accomplish medical examination." Did I miss this 2 yrs ago? Did you? From page: "Year of refusing to take medical: 1972 Year drug testing implemented in military medical exams: 1972 When pinned down, George W. Bush said he has not taken drugs "since 1974." Era: Viet Nam war, young men drafted and required to go to Viet Nam. George Bush: after suspension, was able to "choose" to undertake civilian duty. Later, was assigned to disciplinary duties in Denver. " The best part is the the things News Editors said when this was sent to them.

I heard about it and, like most voters, voted for the other guy.

Boy, don't I look silly!

I wonder if Major James R Bath realized during his later years selling weed out his van, that he could have been the leader of the free world with the right family connections.

Will the first person who was 18-24 years of age in 1972 and who did not smoke any dope whatsoever, inhaled or not, while in that age bracket, go right ahead and throw the first stone.

At least I'm not running a hypocritical "war on drugs" or an equally fake war on terrorism.

beagle: it's not smoking the dope that's the problem - it's the lying about it afterward. This is an argument a Republican president should be able to understand.

Mars,

It's also an argument the Clinton haters should understand. As in "It's not about the sex, it's about the lying!" I hear lying is an impeachable offense of the highest order. Shall we start building the gallows?

One of the editors said:

"Trying to publicize this information at this point, without enough time to fully investigate any facts is far below the integrity one would expect from any organization [sic]."

And really, that's true. This was aberrantly released days before the election.

What am I missing.

Year of refusing to take medical: 1972
Year drug testing implemented in military medical exams: 1972
When pinned down, George W. Bush said he has not taken drugs "since 1974."

How does this indicate a lie?
