Daniel Hannan is the anti-EU MEP who convinced David Cameron to take the Tories' out of the EPP grouping in the European Parliament (much to the displeasure of almost every other Tory MEP). I've got a three-year-old Intel Mac mini (Core Duo 1.66 GHz). It plays 720p fine in QuickTime, Front Row, or Boxee. I would imagine that any current computer would not have a problem, since you basically cannot buy a machine that slow anymore.

I agree with TimTypeZed wholeheartedly

Of the two bickerers, I find Mutant to be the greater asshat by far. Killfiles? Grow the fuck up. Not everyone is going to fawn over you just for posting long 'helpful' notetakings in finance threads just because you're a financier. I'm so tired of hearing about how "inferior" compressed music is and how it's "like listening to JPEG artifacts!". An MP3 or AAC file encoded at a sufficiently high bitrate with a sufficiently good encoder (such as LAME) is indistinguishable from a CD to human ears. I have been on their "list" since I spent time in Afghanistan in mid-2001. Every single fucking time I go down to the States, no matter if by car or by plane, I am pulled aside (to put it mildly), interrogated, confined to a cell, and finally questioned by the FBI. God, the U.S. needs to get rid of it's rude border guards and customs officials. What is the benefit in having people's interactions with this country marred by power-tripping assholes?

It seems like it would be easy to fix, just send a bunch of people over the boarder/through customs undercover and if they get treated rudely fire the person who did so.
