I hate to say it, but the commercial with the kid that goes up in the space rocket is pretty funny. It's still not going to make me eat one of those things. They sound nasty.

I tried one of these a month or so. Kind of like a McMuffin soaked in syrup. Whether or not that's appetizing is up to the individual.

McDonalds is doing all the wrong things and will keep loosing market share. Their core business, burgers, has lost so much respect in the public eye that it's ridiculous. If it was the health or variety aspects that it is claiming, In-N-Out and Five Guys should see drops in sales, but they aren't. "My Way", Big n tasty (although popular), hot dogs, all come to mind. It's going the way of the Gap, except without the drastic turnaround after the departure of Mickey Dressler.

McD: Minimum quality quos last only so long. Then it's so long to the $$.

Bring back curly fries!

They can't bring back something they've never had. At least, here in the States, I've never seen curly fries at a McDonald's. They seem to be solely the province of Arby's. Wendy's did try "waffle fries" for a while, though; they had the same seasoning.

I tried a McGriddle. I actually kind of liked it. In retrospect I probably should have got one with sausage instead of bacon, and disassembled it and eaten the different parts separately instead of eating it all together. Of course that kind of defeats the point of it being a breakfast sandwich.

I think Austin is/was a test market - the local McD's have had them for at *least* two months now.

Unfortunately, since I'm a McFatty, tomorrow I go on McDiet, maybe even McAtkins. Time to get some McExercise as well, since work provides a free gym.

Haven't tried a McGriddle yet, but the nutrition info is WAY out there. If you're health-conscious at all, stay away from McDonald's in general, i suppose.

On a side note, anyone here tired of Hardee's with their 'back to basics' campaign? I saw a Hardee's commercial tonight and what I remember was the guy on there saying "that was the only way i could get enough meat." Where was the focus group on that one?
