...but what's with the Conway Twitty tag? A John Conway joke gone bad?

has anyone gotten to the part where the smurfs carve out their homes?

Conway Twitty?! *thwaps malfunctioning headbone*

I have no idea where that came from. The part of my brain that attempts to remember celebrities and personalities is horribly malformed. Not the first time I've goofed like that. Now I really wish I could edit my tags. The sad thing is is that I triple-checked my tags before posting.

blendor: I'm still waiting for my citizens to learn Architecture, but then they haven't even discovered Geometry yet.

Oops, I meant to post that last comment in the Lewsi Carroll thread. These mushrooms aren't creepy. They are neat, though!

I seeded (spored) five connecting squares. It went on for 218 iterations before it reached a periodic state.

This is different than any other Game of Life sim I've seen in that it gives you a sense of how long specific squares have been inhabited, which is something I really like. And I really like mushrooms in general, so thanks for this cool toy loquacious.

Yeah, I like the time domain aspect of this version of GoL and the other one linked there. They're both simple, but mesmerizing.

Now if I could just integrate this with my Go playing software, I could go entirely mad in about 2 hours.
