Maybe there should be a "silly auction of the day" feature to cover this sort of thing. posted by clevershark at 10:42 PM on March 14, 2005

The only correct thing for the auction winner to do is to play Ghostbusters. Incessantly. posted by truex at 11:09 PM on March 14, 2005
Ghostbusters was a bomb game if I remember correctly. I played it at my friend Chris Miles' house when i was like 10 and we were terrible at it.
As to the issue at hand, I think every NES is haunted... haunted by the spectre of squandered youth... delicious squandered youth. posted by BlackLeotardFront at 12:24 AM on March 15, 2005

Can anyone see "the face" the guy is referring to here?
This just in, someone just brought to my attention that in the first photo of the Nintendo Console, it looks like there's a form of a portion of a face in the photo. It was pointed out to me right in the center of the Nintendo where the cartridge slot is, and below it, is a shading, it somewhat resembles and eye and a mouth, what do you think? I'm not exactly sure so I'm not making any definite claims, but I'm getting more chills thinking about it. These photos have came out not so crisp, but they haven't been altered in any way. posted by Witty at 1:40 AM on March 15, 2005

Well, its an interesting way to make (high bid so far) $152 on a Nintendo that he spent maybe $10 on. That's a pretty good ROI. Not tobacco industry good, but good. posted by sotonohito at 5:25 AM on March 15, 2005

I'm just sayin', if we're going to throw every silly "made in the hope that golden palace will throw money at it" auction on the front page there is soon sure to be no room for anything else... posted by clevershark at 6:38 AM on March 15, 2005
