Come into the Channel ... If you are only here for twenty-four hours, all will be over and six centuries of shame and insult will be avenged'. See you at Pompey tomorrow to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Trafalgar.

The Redoubtable. What an awesome name for a ship.

Aren't ship names great?

For boat names it's pretty hard to beat The Sultan of Bling, Prince Jefri of Brunei. The stylish prince used to own a boat called "Tits" equipped with a pair of launches called "Nipple 1" and "Nipple 2".

I'm 500 yards away and the kids are off school, so I'll probably wander down there. But... with the shrinking of the Royal Navy since the last fleet review in 1977, I'm not entirely sure it will be worth it.

I imagine the local pubs and clubs (and girls?) are loving it though - sailors from over 30 nations, all with shore leave at the same time.

Hi Leon - make sure to see the biggest boat at the show. And how's that for a name to crop up at a celebration of a victory by the British navy over the French?
