Newsfilter: Tom DeLay quits congress, will not seek re-election. He already won the primary, but there will probably be a republican on the ticket in November.
This post was deleted for the following reason: posted yesterday, twice
Say it ain't so.. I wish I had a place to go to find such breaking news.

Who's the white Christian prick
that's a vote machine on the hill?
TOM!
Ya damn right!
Who's the man who would turn his back
on his brother man?
TOM!
Can you dig it?
Who's the cat that won't cop out
when there's indictments all about?
TOM!
Right On!
They say Tom DeLay is a bad mother...
SHUT YOUR MOUTH!
but I'm talkin' 'bout Tom?
THEN WE CAN DIG IT!
He's a complicated man
but no one understands him but his woman
TOM DELAY!

I believe the announcement about him quitting Congress did actually come out today, whereas yesterday was the announcement that he would not run for reelection, so in a sense, it is new, and perhaps even a bigger aspect of the story.

Either way, had you kept in mind that posting "breaking news" articles is a bad idea for an FPP, then this wouldn't have happened. The was no prize for you to win.

It all happened at the same time, it was just not no one noticed how he was doing it. ie, moving to West Virginia. That's what allows another republican to run.
