A lawsuit has been filed against Pennsylvania's Lower Merion School District, who issued high-school students laptops with webcams that could be covertly activated by school admins to spy on students and their families.

This is a good thing from an efficiency standpoint. By being able to observe their charges at home in states of undress, school officials are better able to determine where they may hide their illicit advil. That increases the efficiency of in-school strip searches, which leads to at least a percentage point of improvement on the school's standardized tests. Really, interested parents should demand this, not file suit against it.
